The School Milk and Dairy Programme
For almost a quarter of a century, the EU-subsidised School Milk and Dairy Programme has provided a year-round supply of milk to children in Irish schools at great value for money.
All children registered for the programme receive individual milk cartons or bottles daily, which are delivered directly to schools by their local dairy.
The National Dairy Council has now updated and improved the Programme to encourage children to drink more milk and help schools and parents ensure children benefit from this very affordable, nutritious addition to their daily lunchboxes.
Did you know that because the School Milk Scheme is subsidised it represents excellent value for money. In the current difficult economic climate, the School Milk Scheme offers pupils the opportunity to contribute to their three recommended portions of dairy each day at a very affordable price. Your local dairy is committed to providing School Milk for the best possible value-for-money. To find out how just how little the School Milk Scheme will cost your child per week, contact us at the National Dairy Council.
